Impact: We are looking for a highly skilled Senior WebLogic Administrator with extensive experience to oversee our client’s complex WebLogic environment. You will manage the administration, configuration, and performance optimization of the WebLogic infrastructure, including applications built on ADF, Spring Batch, and custom Java. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring the stability, availability, and optimal performance of critical business applications.
How You Will Contribute:
Manage, administer and maintain a complex WebLogic environment, including installation, configuration, and regular updates.
Monitor server performance and availability, resolving issues to ensure optimal application performance.
Collaborate with development teams to deploy, configure and troubleshoot Oracle Application Development Framework (ADF), Spring Batch, and custom Java applications.
Optimize the WebLogic infrastructure for performance, scalability, and reliability, while implementing robust security measures.
Design and implement high-availability and disaster recovery solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Conduct capacity planning and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system configurations, deployment procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
Mentor junior administrators, sharing best practices and enhancing their technical skills.
What You Bring (required):
8+ years of experience as a WebLogic Administrator, managing complex WebLogic environments. Relevant certifications, such as Oracle WebLogic Server Certification, are a plus.
In-depth knowledge of WebLogic server administration, including domain creation, clustering, load balancing, and performance tuning.
Demonstrated expertise in configuring and troubleshooting ADF, Spring Batch, and custom Java applications within WebLogic.
Excellence in custom code deployments and large, complex Java deployments
Proven knowledge of Java EE concepts, J2EE application deployment, and associated frameworks.
Competency in implementing and maintaining effective security controls within WebLogic, including access management, SSL/TLS encryption, and secure configuration practices.
Knowledge of Oracle Database and SQL, along with experience in integrating WebLogic with these technologies
Experience with OCI is a plus.
Adept at performance monitoring and tuning tools for WebLogic, such as JRockit Mission Control or Java Flight Recorder.
Awareness of networking concepts, protocols, and security principles.
Ability to work well within a team and across multiple stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
Able to successfully pass a federal background check.
Location: Available to work EST hours and provide on-call support as needed. Comfortable working 100% remote. Candidates in the eastern and central time zones are preferred.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
