BikesOnline, an Australian e-commerce business specializing in bicycles and related products, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented offshore accountant based in the Philippines to support our financial operations. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely processing of transactions, and supporting various accounting functions. Responsibilities Include Daily Financial Management Record all daily financial transactions in the accounting system with precision and timeliness in compliance with Australian accounting standards and taxation regulations Store and organise data for compliance and audit purposes Manage accounts payable and receivable, including daily and weekly reconciliations and aging monitoring Process and code vendor invoices and customer payments promptly Monthly and Annual Processes Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded Conduct monthly bank, credit card, supplier, and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records Collaborate in preparing schedules and documentation for external audits Support the preparation of financial reports as requested by management Inventory and Cost Management Collaborate with the Operations and Category Management team for inventory invoice entries to be in line with purchase order entries, credit applications and new vendor setups in Paytron Payroll and Contractor Management Prepare payroll for Australian employees Coordinate invoicing for remote contractors, ensuring timely and accurate payments Process Improvements Explore the areas of improvement and take actions to enhance the effectiveness of internal processes in collaboration with other departments Required Skills And Qualifications Bachelor&aposs degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification preferred Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in e-commerce or retail industries Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel Strong understanding of Australian accounting principles and tax regulations Experience in complex reconciliation processes and ability to resolve discrepancies Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with high accuracy Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and inventory management systems is a plus Working Conditions Full-time position based in the Philippines, working remotely Flexible working hours to accommodate Australian time zones when necessary Regular video conferences with the Australian team for updates and collaboration This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a growing e-commerce business and gain valuable international experience.
