Job Title: Subsea Control Room Operator
Location: Offshore Platforms, Ivory Coast
Job Purpose:
The Subsea Control Room Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of subsea control systems for offshore oil and gas production facilities in Ivory Coast. This includes monitoring, adjusting, and troubleshooting subsea equipment and systems to optimize production and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and control the operation of subsea production equipment, including subsea trees, manifolds, umbilicals, and remote operated vehicles (ROVs)
Analyze data from subsea sensors and instrumentation to identify potential issues or deviations from normal operating parameters
Coordinate with offshore installation teams to execute subsea interventions, maintenance, and repair activities
Maintain detailed logs and records of all subsea control room activities and equipment performance
Respond to emergency situations and implement appropriate shutdown procedures as necessary
Assist with the commissioning and testing of new subsea equipment and systems
Collaborate with onshore engineering and operations teams to optimize subsea system performance
Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and quality management systems
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Subsea Control Room Operator or similar role in the offshore oil and gas industry
Strong knowledge of subsea production systems, control systems, and instrumentation
Proficiency in using subsea control and monitoring software and equipment
Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate technical information clearly
Familiarity with offshore safety protocols and emergency response procedures
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent technical training
