The Supervisor – UnitedHealthcare Strategic Platform (USP) Benefit Configuration position will be responsible for overseeing day to day activities related to enrollment and eligibility operations for our USP teams in order to accomplish the business and their team’s objectives. Our supervisors and their teams have a serious responsibility to make every contact informative, productive, positive, and memorable.
This position is full-time (40 hours/week), Monday – Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 5:00am – 6:00pm in their time zone. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime or weekends.
We offer on-the-job training. Duration for training is based on the individual candidate and their needs. The hours during training will be 8:00am – 5:00pm in your time zone, Monday – Friday. Training will be conducted virtually from your home.

Primary Responsibilities:
Supervise UnitedHealthcare Strategic Platform (USP) Benefit Configuration Analysts in their daily job functions to ensure files are applied timely and all turnaround times and quality standards are met and/or exceeded
Meet and exceed department quality audits and provide coaching to their supervisor’s and team members
Maintain and prioritize eligibility discrepancies, analyzing transactional data & submitting retroactive eligibility changes to the director and senior leaders
Ensure all standards set by the company, including Attendance, Dress code, etc. are adhered to
Handle all escalations courteously, politely and professionally
Act as back-up support for other Managers as needed for meetings and other departmental responsibilities
Advise management in long-range planning for areas of specialization
Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience
Must be 18 years of age OR older
2+ years of Management / Supervisory experience, OR 2+ years of USP Configuration experience
Intermediate level of experience using Microsoft Excel (create, edit, sort, filter, pivot tables)
Presently employed within UHC Operations & Experience. Those currently employed outside that unit will not be considered (To verify, review your Sparq profile and the organization chart. Proficiency with computer and Windows PC applications
Ability to work Monday – Friday, in any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 5:00am – 6:00pm in your time zone, including the flexibility to work occasional overtime or weekends, based on the business need
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of Human Resources policies and procedures

Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
Soft Skills:
Must have the ability to handle multiple issues and prioritize appropriately while working swiftly & efficiently without compromising quality customer service
Demonstrate ability for strong oral and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize caseload based on business and customer need as well as respond appropriately and effectively in difficult situations
Excellent interpersonal skills

The salary range for this role is $71,600 to $140,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
