You will manage multiple complex projects and guide multidisciplinary teams to successfully deliver against key business goals. You will lead the cross-functional alignment of the performance and reliability engineering portions of the product life cycle. Your contribution will be critical to the success of the team and to Akamai’s business.
As a Technical Program Manager II , you will be responsible for:
Creating program plans including detailed work breakdown structures, as well as resource, communication, and risk plans.
Analyzing risks and developing contingency plans so the teams don’t lose focus, and escalate as necessary.
Structuring and delivering key strategic projects by leading cross-functional groups to synthesize feedback and deliver on objectives
Communicating program status and expectation changes to senior leaders with appropriate frequency, using standardized methods.
Leading multiple teams through roadmap development, requirements gathering and execution, tracking KPIs.
Leading programs that improve the reliability and performance of Akamai Products
Do what you love
To be successful in this role you will:
Have 5 years of experience in project management in a cross functional/technical team
Demonstrate experience working within a technical team and a good understanding of the software development life cycle
Have good interpersonal and organizational skills with an ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders
Have experience working with JIRA and Confluence.
Have experience in Identifying and managing project dependencies while maintaining accurate project plans with real-time milestones
Have knowledge and application of Site Reliability Engineering, and concepts like Observability, Reliability, Availability, and Performance
