ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Test Automation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of our portal through continuous testing and test automation. This role encompasses a wide range of testing activities, including functional, migration, performance, and regression testing, along with software unit testing and usability testing.
PROJECT START DATE: beginning of October 2024. Position is limited to EU countries located applicants only with minimum of 3 years of experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and execute automated test scripts to ensure the quality of software products.
Perform continuous testing to ensure ongoing product stability and performance.
Conduct functional testing to validate software functionality against requirements.
Implement migration testing to ensure smooth transitions during software upgrades.
Carry out performance testing to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
Execute regression testing to ensure existing functionality remains intact.
Develop and maintain software unit tests to ensure code quality.
Collaborate with development and operations teams to identify and resolve defects.
Analyze test cases and create detailed test plans and test strategies.
Manage test data and ensure its accuracy and relevance for testing purposes.
Employ test-driven development (TDD) practices to drive high-quality code development.
Utilize test management tools to track and report on testing activities.
Ensure usability testing to validate the user experience of the software.
Work with Java, Jenkins, and Jenkins X for continuous integration and deployment.
At least 3 years of experience in software testing and test automation.
Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks.
Knowledge of Java programming language.
Experience with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins and Jenkins X.
Familiarity with test-driven development (TDD) practices.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong understanding of test management and test-data management.
Ability to create and implement effective test strategies.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Written and verbal communication skills in English.
German language skills are an advantage but not mandatory.
