Description
The Trino Reporting Architect will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust reporting solutions using Trino (formerly PrestoSQL).
This role requires a deep understanding of data architecture, ETL processes, and reporting tools to ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and efficient data solutions.
Design and implement reporting solutions using Trino to meet business requirements.
Develop and maintain ETL processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into technical specifications.
Optimize and tune Trino queries for performance and scalability.
Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in data architecture and reporting.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications & experience required:
Matric (Senior Certificate).
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Certification in data architecture advantageous.
5 years minimum proven experience as a Reporting Architect with a focus on Trino.
Technical skills & experience required:
Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with Trino or PrestoSQL.
Experience with data warehousing, ETL processes and data modelling.
Familiarity with reporting tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Knowledge of big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.
