Discover the Role
The primary responsibility of the VAT Consultant is to work with the Team Leader/VAT Supervisor/VAT Senior Consultant to provide assistance on the VAT compliance for foreign clients identified in France for VAT purposes.
S/he is responsible for individual goals and helping to meet the wider departmental goals.
Key Responsibilities

Data entry/Invoice booking in the accounting system

Process information received, complete monthly VAT Liquidations and VAT books; provides also ad hoc assistance to Clients in relation with the correct application of VAT rules

Preparation and submission of VAT accomplishments (Monthly and Quarterly VAT Returns, Intrastat reports etc.)

Completion and submission of tax forms in case of change of company details on behalf of our clients

Ensure that appropriate responses and actions are taken with respect to request of information from the Public Administrations

Liaise with clients and colleagues abroad on daily basis

Responsible for the preparation of the Billing report

Assistance on VAT reimbursement applications

Supports more Junior colleagues in technical questions

Registration and deregistration of new clients

Key Requirements

Good knowledge of VAT legislation

Fluent in English and French both written and spoken

Strong analytical and technical skills and high attention to detail

Ability to handle issues, excellent time management and organizational skills

Ability to work as part of a team and manage a number of different clients;

A proactive, self-motivated team player who has the ability to manage a high personal workload with multiple deadlines and continually strive for improvements in quality and efficiency

3/6 years experiences in similar Organizations

Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
