About the job VP of Commercial Trading (Cryptocurrency/Stablecoin/Fully Remote/Africa)

Requirements
Cryptocurrency/Stable Coins experience, strongly preferred
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Intellectually curious, with demonstrated track record of being a fast learner
Experience – 8 + years in traditional finance, capital markets and/or digital currencies
Proven traditional or quantitative trading experience from a similar role in digital assets or traditional finance
Execute, manage, and monitor of OTC trading activities
History of building,maintaining and managing high value relationships
Strategic understanding of the prime brokerage business model and the types of clients that might benefit the most
Strategic mindset and detail oriented
Strong sense of risk and controls from trading, credit, exposure, settlement, and treasury operations perspectives.
Clear understanding of operational risks, compliance, and appropriate regulations
Excel at working cross functionally to deliver commercial results
Experience working within various African markets and jurisdictions an added bonus

Responsibilities
Define and develop trading risk management framework, processes, and plans
Manage liquidity partners, market makers and associated processes
Monitor and manage total exposures and limits
Efficiently monitor, identify, control, and resolve trading risk related issues
Increase revenue across all product offerings
Track and review trading events and market news, evaluate associated risks and react as necessary
Take responsibility for market risk analyse behavioural patterns and identify abuse
Keep up to date with the competition and the industry
Build and maintain key relationships within the organisations sales regions
Appreciate the changing requirements of our clients clients and consider how they may continue to add value
Provide leadership to Commercial Trading team, guiding, supporting and coaching individuals
Responsible for managing the performance of direct report/s in the Commercial team
