The Opportunity
We are looking to hire a skilled WordPress Developer to design and implement attractive and functional websites for our clients. You will be responsible for both back-end and front-end development including the implementation of WordPress themes and plugins as well as site integration and security updates.
To be a successful WordPress developer, you should have in-depth knowledge of front-end programming languages, a good eye for aesthetics, and strong content management skills. Ultimately, a top-class WordPress developer can create attractive, user-friendly websites that perfectly meet the design and functionality specifications of the client.
The Responsibilities – What will I be doing?
Understand website design and functions and know what a high-converting website should look like
Designing and building the website front-end in WordPress.
Creating the website information architecture and customize themes.
Designing and managing the website back-end including database and server integration.
Customizing WordPress themes and plugins.
Conducting website performance tests and solving performance issues.
Troubleshooting content issues.
Conducting WordPress training with the team.
Monitoring the performance of the live website.
Developing HTML email templates in HubSpot.
Developing landing pages in HubSpot.
Updating the website with announcements, pop-ups, and other forms of content delivery.
Populating the website with content from content templates.
Working with the design team to troubleshoot UX issues.
Working with the campaigns to create new experiences.
The Requirements – What do we need?
Proven work experience as a WordPress developer.
Knowledge of front-end technologies including CSS3, JavaScript, HTML5, and jQuery.
Knowledge of code versioning tools including Git, Mercurial, and SVN.
Experience working with debugging tools such as Chrome Inspector and Firebug.
Good understanding of website architecture and aesthetics.
Ability to manage projects and coordinate with different teams.
Strong communication skills.
Must be responsive and effective in written and verbal communication.
