Seeking a skilled and experienced Solutions Manager to collaborate across the enterprise to deploy, maintain, and ensure the reliability of our core HR application (Workday) in a fast-paced environment. The overall objective of this role is to lead research, analysis, design and implementation of configuration to enhance employee and manager experience. This role will support and drive the implementation of new functionality and enhancements by understanding end user needs, developing business and functional requirements, building streamlined and effective processes, supporting technical design, testing and deployment to provide a best-in-class user experience. You will partner across functional business teams, translating complex business needs to effective solution design recommendations, ensuring data, configuring and security meet requirements. This role will leverage your deep functional expertise to understand process and systems requirements and contribute to the development, testing and deployment activities for HCM Core as part of the Labcorp HR Tech Team.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Demonstrate technical expertise understanding of functional HR processes to act as primary authority and owner for Workday configuration within your defined area(s) of responsibility defining and shaping the business process architecture

Own your workstream roadmap, evaluate existing configuration, map against functionality available vs used, develop enhancements to unlock advanced capabilities, and prioritize and balance competing requests and priorities while being a champion of continuous improvement

Act as Tier 3 support to global business users and HR to include: troubleshooting system issues, defect resolution, maintaining system structure data, assisting with ad-hoc reporting requests, and administering cyclical related processes

Use creative problem-solving skills to conduct working sessions with users to gather, understand, and analyze business requirements, recommend scalable and simple solution(s) based on evaluation of best courses of action and design, configure, and test changes/enhancements while managing and promoting the changes through the appropriate Agile sprint and change processes

Advise stakeholders on industry standards/best practices and provide suggestions to achieve clean configuration and streamlined processes underpinned by thorough understanding of system and security architecture including integrations and data management

Lead feature releases working with business users, IT, vendors and other support teams to define scope, prioritize, plan, identify test scenarios, develop test scripts, and provide key support in regression analysis and systems integration testing before implement system changes and enhancements

Document requirements and technical specifications to support our solution landscape

End-to-end project management including developing project charters, creating and owning project plans and ensure adherence to project schedule and other specifications through a delivery-focused mindset, high energy and drive and the ability to achieve results through others

Document the landscape and design to facilitate maintenance, help review communication and training materials to ensure technical accuracy, assist where necessary to develop communication and training materials in support of system navigation and changes

Conduct high level needs analysis and recommend service improvements to increase the efficiency of the system

Ensure that the system remains compliant with relevant data protection and security regulations, such as GDPR or CPRA, follow all SOX controls, and implement best practices in data management

Provide day-to-day thought leadership and act as advisor or coach to more junior HR Tech team members to mentor team with knowledge sharing and providing guidance that helps them to learn new skills and functional areas

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, & COMPENTENCIES:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, Business Administration, HR or related field or equivalent experience required

4+ years of experience in executing projects in SaaS technologies. Must have deep knowledge of Workday HCM.

Workday HCM PRO certification preferred

Knowledge of downstream integrations to gauge impact of changes, triage and remedy incidents and/or scope level of effort for new initiatives.

Excellent communication and organizational skills – able to translate between technical and business groups, bring forward a vision or opinion

Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy with ability to design and develop solutions to meet business needs creatively

Comfort with leading multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, prioritize decisions and tasks effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Expertise in agile software development methodologies and their adoption within teams (Jira/Confluence experience helpful)
